Thanks, Heather. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it: I've had good days and bad days with the knee. I'm taking Ibuprofen when it's painful.

Annette, I get so cross when they mess with history in the making of films.

Also, filmed versions of famous literature. They're showing the film "Little Women" here over Christmas, but I remember came out of the cinema unhappy and disappointed, because they interpreted one of my favourite stories in a very different way to how I saw the book.

Well, it seems we are all going to be affected by the new guidelines re Christmas.   Do hope that you can all get through these changes and make the most of it .  It won't last forever and we have to keep smiling through it.

Annette, so pleased to hear your sister and partner have had their jabs. Hopefully we'll be called up after Christmas, OH first as he's over 75 followed by self at over 70. I think we will all feel happier when we have had the vaccine.

AQ - love your annecdotes. Heard on the news about Sydney and suberbs, at least they are closing state borders to control it.

Our bit of Christmas -    beautiful Welsh slate nativity that my mum collected over the years and our small Christmas tree which I bought last year, put out in the garden, has grown a little and will do the same for this year.

I have been OUT. To nearby suburb Glenelg to a bookstore to finish Miss9’s gift. The city store has a better choice but I decided against bussing in & tramping the Mall. I found a book published 2020 with facts about all (?) the countries of the world, snippets of culture, people, flags, animals. There were at least 2 shelves of scientific topics – nature, astronomy but I’ve given them previously. Detour to bakery and home again. It is raining lightly.

Some chaos at Adelaide Airport yester evening. Many people had caught earlier flights to beat the midnight deadline but some officials at airport were confused and ordered them either to return or go into 2-week quarantine BEFORE the deadline.
