Morning/evening all: Off to catch up on today's posts.
Lovely poem Lindybird,
New blog from Richard - farewell to the generator.http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/blogs/lochgartenospreys/default.aspx
Linda What a beautiful poem! We had a baptism in church on Sunday and that would have made a wonderful reading. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Royal Wedding on Friday April 29 2011. at Westmister Abbey (Official).
feast day of St Catherine of Sienna.
It will be a bank holiday.
EJ will hopefully be brooding eggs. :)
Tiger Signature
I'll start saving up for my confetti now! thanks for that news, Tiger! (as there's been so much fuss about it already, glad its not going to be too long before the event, or we'd all be bored to tears with it before it happened!)
Thanks for heads up over the L. Garten Blog, Alan.
Morning all. Damp but mild here today. Tractor came back but without the snow plough. They had ordered the wrong brackets so they are coming out to fix it on when they come in. Also need to sort out 3 new tires/tyres for the Jeep as they are all about worn out and the spare on there now is brand new. Shows how much tread the news ones have.
OG, thanks for all the roadworks update. Incredible how much they have to redo stuff, when you watch them. I never knew. Love all the photo's as well, thanks. Hope the roundabout kerbs get installed today (ish..)
Paul, hi and the sheds sounds very impressive! Only you can make erecting a shed sound very interesting and entertaining:) Hope it serves it's purpose. Can't say I'm a darts fan I'm afraid. I can see the skill in it but..
Brenda/Shelia, we do get quite a bit of snow here but I think Diane may get more. We pay someone to plough the driveways as we are set back from the road quite a way. I brought mine for the paths around the house and to clear to and from the horse barn, to the manure pile etc. We are keeping the horses at home for the winter, for the first time, so needed to be able to move around a little more.
Linda, glad the stove went to a good home but sorry about the furniture that had to be broken up. Sweetpea is sure taking his/her time! lol Bet you jump every time the phone rings Baby prediction from me. A Girl, born on Thursday:) Lovely poem, so appropriate. Hope some of our techie people here can get a moving image of a stork arriving for you! lol
Shelia, I can tell you're a tennis fan. My SIL went to the O2 center yesterday to see some games but not sure who was on. I think she was hoping to see Nadal for some reason... lol Thanks for the info about the book. I'm sure you would be fine is you had a puncture. It generally happens and over with and you react naturally. Each Town here has it's own "stock" of trucks and ploughs so the roads are cleared very quickly.
Wendy, love your "natty" coloured bins:)
Chloe, thanks for the countdown clock for the move to the server. Great idea:)
Annette, that's so sad, about your friends son:( As you say, you think all is OK then..
Tiger, thanks for that. The US is going bonkers over it as well. Maybe a holiday over here as well!
As always, sorry if I've missed anyone.
Linda, lovely poem. I can't wait to see what you write after Sweetpea's arrival. Best wishes to Mum- in- waiting.
Tiger, Thanks for the wedding news. That means two long weekend holidays for the workers.
Thanks Alan for the news from Richard. Will go and read it now.
Hello Gary. Sorry about your snow plough but as long as it is ready before the real snow arrives.
Just had a phone call from Son, who will be visiting Phillip Island tomorrow, where one of the attractions is the penguin parade when, as the sun fades, all the little penguins waddle up the beach to the safety of their homes in the sand dunes. It was one of the sights I asked him to try and see, but they are not allowed to take photographs. Only one answer, I will have to go and see them for myself !!
29th April 2011 and I quote
"Unemployed man weds girl from estate"
Thanks GARY it is the inconvienience and not the pain that is the real problem Did this 4 weeks ago and next review on 21/12 so hopefully 1/2 way there though I guess it will take a while to be fully mobile again.
ALICAT lovely pic of swans
love all the swan pics.
HERON wonder if you saw the "Not the Nine o'clock News" skit on darts. Iy wne something like this "And he's going for........a treble WHISKY and so on I did laugh.
National Holiday for Royal Wedding - one way to introduce the three-day working week, then!!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
