Morning/evening all: Off to catch up on today's posts.
OMG I do so remember the Crimpelene dresses and the shortness of length...luckily my legs in those days we able to carry it off...but I do remember sitting down and pulling the skirt to come with me. Mary Quant was such an icon.
If any of you have lost the birds from your feeders please do not stress as they are all up here in the Highlands as I have to keep them topped 2 to 3 times a day. I am sure it is my natty pink and purple dustbins.
Weather really rubbish...but an article int the Scottish Daily Mail is telling us how wonderful the scenery around the Moray Firth is. We up here already know that but it is nice to have it confirmed.
Well done Wendyb for attracting the birds! They are clearly keeping you very busy. I had six long tailed tits on the fat balls this afternoon which is always a delight. They seem only to appear during the winter months and are very welcome.

Thanks for the Audubon link Diane. I'll take a look and also pass it on to a friend who is keen on the BTO garden birds recording.
All sorts of tits up here... well that's what the husband tells me. My greater spotted woodpecker aka Woody is my favorite. Hard time for him and her this year as only one of their offspring fledged. Spring a bit rubbish for them as the last 4 years they have managed 2.
OG beautiful picture of flying swans and no, I didn't think you were ignoring me. Hi to you too :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Our troubles should be over on 7th December when the site switches to new servers and also moves to another hosting company. Tiger suggested I made a countdown clock for the occasion and here it is:
http://imagicat.com/RSPBcountdown2.html
It is set for noon GMT on the 7th December.
Hi folks, couldn't get on straight away tonight so went to live video page and clicked on Richard's up-date and then clicked on my post to get to my page and then went through the Loch Garten Ospreys page and behold I made it.
Just caught up with everyone's news.
Dibnib and OG - love your pics of the swans.
My crimplene dress was yellow with a moss green 31/4 length coat for honeymoon, all the rage at the end of the sixties. Love the crinkley cotton garments these days.
Been trying to catch up with my tapestry - coming along slowly.
Did anyone watch Countryfile last night - bit about the red kites being reintroduced in Ireland - beautiful birds.
Weather looks as though its set to change to a blast of winter with snow coming into the North and East and then travelling down across the country and getting colder...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh.

ShielaFe wrote -All I was browsing Amazon at the weekend and found out that a paperback book called Lady of the Loch: The Incredible Story of Britain's Oldest Osprey by Helen Armitage is due to be published next year at £7.10 – my estimated delivery date is 27 to 29 April.
Will look forward to that - keep us informed Sheila so I can purchase one - sounds very interesting.
Also had a blue crimplene, sparkly dress - sleeveless but high neck with zip - wore it for our engagement in 1967. Sweet memories but time moves on.
Lynette The dates the occassions and the clothes are so identical...but not that long ago really!!!!!!
Lynette. 27-29 April ? The Royal wedding is rumoured to be on 28th April! :)
