Weekly Chat, Sunday November 14, 2010

  • Sheila I missed this earlier, by bobbing in and out, what sickening news. Exactly....why?  What do people get out of this sort of thing? I hope they are caught and are dealt with severely....though am not holding my breath on the last part.

  • Hi Chloe this is the image i have chosen do i need to upload it to photobucket

  • hi i think i have got it this time

  • Hi ALICAT that's cute, is it an animation? If it is then yes you do. If it is just an image then no you just copy it into your sigbox :)

Hooray! You have cracked it! Well done!  :)

  • BRENDA  only with OHs patience (somthing he does not find easy) and help have I been able to get out and about so much.  When I am eventually mobile again I dread to think how many cups of tea in bed (before breakfast ) I will owe him!!!!!

SHEILA  hope you are pleased with your new car and that you get used to it quickly.

  • I think i have it this time

  • SHEILA    yes I will be watching "the wedding"  just hope Kate doesn't end up looking like a crumpled meringue the way Diana did. Maybe I shouldn't have said that (each to her own) Is it to be Kate or Katherine from now on - I like her as Kate but think that Dad called her Katherine- having said that I will always be my Sunday name to Mum.     Loved the story of the Great Horned Owl.

  • dibnlib   So glad I'm not the only royalist!  I agree about the crumpled meringue too.  I felt it was quite a let-down, or perhaps it is in retrospect!  William is Wills to me!  and I rather expect that I will think of Kate, rather than Catherine.  I have read today that Woolworths designed a lot memorabilia before they broke up - when Wills had hair!  There have been a number of lovely photos of Kate in the paper, many wearing long sleaky dresses which really suit her.  How is the art of hopping developing?!

  • Afternoon all,

Tiger : Great pictures of the GHO.

Alicat : Well done getting the sig to work.

SheilaFE: Thanks for the link to the  story of osprey which was shot in Lincolnshire. It really makes me angry when we get reports like this. After all the great work that the conservationists do, it only takes one idiot with a shotgun to spoil it. This is the second ringed Swedish osprey shot in this country this autumn. Lets hope the perpetrator is caught and brought to justice but somehow I doubt it.

The weather is dull and cold here today with a raw  south easterly wind. No rain as yet but it looks really bad in Cornwall. Not a lot going on today. We went on a shopping mission to Tescos this morning as yesterdays mission had to be aborted.

Everyone else thanks for the chat etc.
