HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL HARVEST MOON!
The moon turns full on Thursday, 1 October.
I hope everyone has a joyful, safe, healthy week!
Check back to last week's thread for Lindy's photos and other posts.
View to the right of the previous picture of the bay at Cemaes: leaning on the sea defence wall which sweeps around to the far end. That is not a figure of a man in the centre of the picture, there is an "installation" as they call them these days. Some local students were involved to build a bell which rings when the tide reaches it twice a day.
View from the wall farther on, looking out from the middle of the bay. Some brave people even went in for a swim later, when the tide began to come in again!
Looking to the left where there is a jetty, and some small hotels which enjoy the view.
To the right, the sand was dry enough to walk on, and the bay is backed by low cliffs. My OH is here looking at the view of the sea, with Bonnie rushing off in the background.
After our initial expiration, we stopped and returned to the car park where a kiosk was selling hot snacks. My OH had a "chip buttie" as although they advertised an egg buttie, they refused to sell them after 12.00 pm!! I had a pizza. It turned out to be one of the very worst I've ever had- cardboard crust, soggy middle, and with very watery tomato sauce. Ugh. Left half of it.
The view from the far left of the bay where we sat in the sun to eat our exciting lunch.
Then we walked around the path which skirted the area, to try and get to the jetty.
