I've started one final Daily Update thread to end the week. Tonight (for U.K. Sunday) Annette or someone will start a new Weekly Chat and that can be the official end to the Daily Update.
This last Daily Update thread may be needed because jsb has just posted the following on the old thread:
Osprey on nest at 6.28am for about three seconds, unexpeected, so too late to capture by one second, Heard wing air-rush sound, came in from left, looked at camera, looked up, flew off, to right. Possibly a male, but not sure, too quick for me, having tea in bed.
EDIT: Was busy researching story on cupcakes, when it happened, after waking from nightmare about an orchestra!
Hope that's okay with everyone, especially since we have an osprey about.

Well you can always look back and see. See http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/groups/lochgartenospreys/forum/t/4412.aspx

Thanks for those links, Tiger. Have had a quick look but need more time for a good root around those pictures... maybe I'll find one of the sticks! Have to go out now.. bye.

You will find some of your poems too! Do you collect your verses?
Forensic evidence photo of sticks, just in case they move, or are moved. LOL :O)

Morning All, That is the last time I will say that on this page for 2010.
Tiger, Some lovely photographs on last years pages. I can see two crossed sticks on one photograph but I think it is a case of being able to find something if you are desperate, but doesn't prove anything.
I had forgotten that Gary pointed out that EJ / ODIN form the word JOINED.
Great to see how these pages evolved after so much discussion. That all seems so long ago.
Thanks Diane for starting the last Daily thread of the season and interesting about those sticks. Could be a token gesture at covering the nest until they return but who put them there?
Well done jsb for spotting the osprey visiting the nest!
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
JSB Very good idea to collect the evidence!
Brenda H Yes it is always interesting to see how things move on and how things change and do not change as the case may be!
And for all of you who wanted your very own countdown clock. Here it is: http://home.roadrunner.com/~cc/share/birds/EJ2011.html
You have got a lovely lady called Cathy to thank for that. She is a bit of a whizz when it comes to the HTML! She did it faster than I ever imagined!
Good morning all, one last time then.
Thanks Diane for starting us off. Thanks Tiger for the links and wll look at them later as I have to go out soon.
Well folks, an empty nest at present, sticks in place with the two crossed over by the cushion and the two long ones pointing down to them. A lasting image till next year.
Weather looks a bit damp so glad they are on their way to the sun.
Will check in later, one absolutely last time, before handing over to the weekly chat page.

Good morning all and can't believe we have reached the last daily chat of the year. I smiled at the commnents about the crossed sticks so when I have a bit more time I will be looking back at last year. it has been wonderful to be in the company of ospreys lovers from all over the world who have kept us up to scratch with what has been going on all through the season when some of were not able to keep up all the time. Thanks to everyone and hopefully we will see you all on the weekly chat to while away the months until EJ and Odin return to us. Can't believe that EJ would let anyone take her nest over, it has been clear to see that this nest is definitely hers and Odin's. Had to look at the nest cam even though it is empty, looking a bit untidy and abandoned for now. Rase a glass to our 3 GEM's, EJ and Odin and of course all the staff at LG who are so dedicated to these wonderful birds.
