I wonder what today will bring? Will they decide to go fishing or head off south? I guess it's wait and see time....again.

Good morning Lynette it is very quiet now. Two around when I logged in but they have been gone for a while now. Perhaps Odin has taken them off fishing to show them how it is done.
Well done on 42 years of marriage. So nice to read I doubt I will reach that as it is my second marriage which is so much happier than the first marriage. I will be nearly 90 by the time 42 years have passed, but who knows I may make it. Glad you had such a nice evening.

Enjoy your lunch ShielaFE, I donated for many years and reached my Golden target about 4 years back. Had to give up after having a heart procedure plus drugs they put you on afterwards. Never mind, I managed it on and off for over 30 years so am quite proud. You never know when someone needs blood. Off subject I know but it is so quiet at present.
I endorse what you all say, ODIN IS MAGNIFICENT, he is keeping a watchful eye on his offspring until they make a move and then he will follow.

"I have learned such a lot over the past three years of watching these blogs and comments, for which I thank everyone. I now have three books to read over the winter - Roy Dennis (A life of ospreys), David Gessner (Return of the Osprey which covers New England birds) and Philip Brown (The Scottish Osprey). I just hope some of it remains in the old grey matter!! We still have a quiet nest and no noise "
Thats interesting to note, that there are other books about other than Roy Dennis's which I recently purchased and will be taking on holiday with me at the end of September. Will have to ask for at least one of them on my Christmas list. Thanks Shiela for the info.
ShielaFE I am so pleased to hear that you got a copy of "The Scottish Ospreys" by Philip Brown. That is probably my favorite book of all. I must have bought more copies of it than I have of any other book.
We do have a thread for discussing it.. See http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/groups/lochgartenospreys/forum/t/20487.aspx
I am a big fan of "Life of Ospreys" too.
I have never read "Return of The Osprey" by David Gessner although I have seen it cited often enough. I think he also wrote "Soaring With Fidel" another book I have not read.
Gessner does have a site but I think he is not much into computers. See http://ospreyworld.com/
You certainly have made three great book choices!

Morning Margobird, so pleased to hear that things have worked out better for you this time around. Thank you for your good wishes. Its not always been plain sailing, particularly during the early years but we have survived.
Well, not a peep out of our two juves, very, very, quiet. Must go and get some more housework done.
12.04pm Just about to go out but another quick peep reveals ENS and absolutely no noise at all. Thanks for the link Tiger, I'll follow it up with interest. Catch up later.
