I wonder what today will bring? Will they decide to go fishing or head off south? I guess it's wait and see time....again.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Thanks, Tiger & DjoanS for telling us about the blog entry by Caroline. Bless him, Odin is keeping watch on his young 'uns even now!
--he is indeed "Magnificent!""
Thanks Tiger and Joan for the info. Have just been to it and added my bit. Nice to know that Odin is keeping a fatherly watch on his youngsters. Thats probably why they are still shrieking madly, they can probably see him whereas we can't.
Looks a better day up there with the sun trying to shine. By george, they need it after the wind and rain they've had recently.

They do deserve a bit of sunshine, don't they Lynette - hope you enjoyed your Annniversary.
Back again!
One back on the nest
It's our Middle youngster of course :)
Sounds like Quackers to me... what do you think? (or is the poor thing just a bit hoarse from crying all yesterday?)
Morning all. I thought it was Quackers, the hoarse croak as she/he starts to call! I had heard the occasional call near the nest and a clonk on the mike - but that could have ben the chaffinch who always makes his presence known and often sounds the size of an osprey! Many thanks for the updates and comments. I was interested to see Caroline's comment about Odin being around. I think I said y'day that I thought I heard his chirrup in the background. It looks as though it is high cloud with a hazy sun, but only light wind. Much like here.

Thanks Lindybird, really enjoyed the day and meal I did, sharing it with our daughter who still lives at home. Doesn't he ever stop shrieking. Its no good, you've got to go and fish.
Good morning alll and thanks for all the chat and pics and aquilareen and Heron 77 for the humerous posts. I agree that we tend to forget what happens at this time but the two youngsters still here have been on the nest a lot, I was over the moon to read on the main blog that Odin is still around looking after his family. Odin is magnificent and although not bringing fish he is keeping an eye on them and hopefully they will take his lead and learn to fish. Sorry now I thought he had abandoned his youngsters, a good Dad to the last. This is the probably happening at many nests now but of course we only see LG so can't compare. Weather looks fairly good today so fingers crossed for those two youngsters. Off to catch up now.
