I wonder what today will bring? Will they decide to go fishing or head off south? I guess it's wait and see time....again.

Morning all, a quick mini update over my breakfast before I head to work! Half of the team have come down with the dreaded lurgy so we may be a bit short staffed today and not able to do a proper blog.
ODIN IS STILL AROUND!! I know he hasn't been seen on the nest, and even we are only getting glimpses of him but he is still here (as of yesterday late afternoon!), keeping an eye on his chicks. By not bringing fish to them he is trying to encourage them to go fishing for themselves, after all in a short time they will be away on migration and have to look after themselves.
Hopefully more time for a full update later when we can answer your questions.

SNAP Tiger!
Thank you Tiger. So those Odin type calls I have heard, must have been him. So good to hear he is stiill keeping an eye on his family.
Brenda H. Over the year we have coined the phrase "Ospreys know best". I guess it applies here too.

Wonderful !! Thanks a million Tiger and Joan - off to text QW!
So the Odin like chirrups offstage yesterday were not impersonations by one of the juves. Odin IS Magnificent.
Thanks to all for the early reports and pics. All is well in ospreyland.
