Daily Update (LG Nest) Wednesday 25th August

  • Both GEMs land on nest. One sidling towards other, while other tries to keep his distance. Now moved almost off camera to left. I wonder what scheme they are "cooking up"?

  • I am off for a shower.

    Bye.

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

  • Well, we know that both juves are still around -- and hungry.

AQ: We could use the rain. After almost daily storms in July, we're now having one of the driest Augusts ever. LOL Well, now that I know that both birds are still here, I'm off to bed. Have a good one, AQ. I hope your seeds grow!!!

Empty nest now. They've both flown.

  • Both screeching. One on nest mantling.

  • Well that's a fair bit of racket.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Both on nest. A screeching duet.
I'm off to kitchen to find food. (Going to be pot luck methinks.) Over to Day Shift & I hope you enjoy the unmusical birdsong. All too soon we shall have a permanent ENS.

  • Morning all... thanks for nest reports and 'funnies'! Oh dear ... I see (and hear) that they are both still with us. I wonder how long before they get the message that they have to go ... either to fish or migrate?

  • Hello everyone  - Chole AQ Diane and Annette (zzzzzzzzz)  EDIT  and Joan  :)

Heron!!!   You don't seem to do much zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz   yourself!!!  (Dunno how you manage on so little sleep). Trust your big bag of multi whatnot crisps got corralled by a supermarket shrub  LoL

:(  very ''irritated ''with our young ones - they don't seem to be learning their lessons very quickly.  I daren't ask Tiger how many hours (days) it's been since they last had a fish.

  • Morning all Thanks for the good wishes on yesterday's thread.  AQ I didn't realise your daytime temps got so low. Wonder will this be the day the migration penny drops for the 2 juves?  We forget from year to year how hair-raising the whole life-cycle can be for ospreys.

-- its certainly a roller-coaster ride with this lot!  Are they still here?????

    Morning All.

EDIT:  Have just had a read back over this thread - thanks to Chloe for starting us off, & to All for the humerous posts!  Wonder what today will bring?
