Hi, it was a day of misery for the two chicks. With EJ gone and it looks like Odin has gone too, there were no deliveries of fish yesterday.
Nature is playing its part. It is time the two juves went fishing for themselves or else start on their migratory journey. Odin has obviously felt it is time to kick start these two into foraging for themselves. If confirmed he is gone by the LG team it will be about the same time as last year.
The weather sounds foul at LG at the moment so hope they are sheltering safely somewhere.
Only time and a new day will tell us what is happening.
Over to the early morning team and thanks to all of you in California, Australia, Finland, and elsewhere for keeping us updated.

wow, these pages are lightning! lol
Thanks for all the captures everyone. Had a good chortle at Sandy's "sit in" and a laugh out loud moment at your graphics Chloe:)) Thanks so much.
Off out now. Enjoy your evenings everyone. I am desperately hoping that this evening's sunshine sees 'our' two youngsters on their way (together would be nice). ( One can hope).
Will check in before I go to bed hoping to read that neither has been back to the nest or heard calling.
I found I was getting that awful 'gobbledygook' page when I tried to log into my Own Page....
have been able to get it now though! - perhaps things are being fixed.
'Bye Cirrus -enjoyed your company today.....
Just logging offf .....:) I've enjoyed yours too LIndy. See you tomorrow
Hi everyone.Just read through the updates. Brilliant pictures and a fantastic level of discussion. Thanks.I suppose for me this is the stage when it really hits home that Ospreys are a migrating bird, and like any migrating bird have an added challenge to a life that is already tough enough just by being a wild bird. The youngsters that remain (along with their oldest sibling) have amazingly efficient parents and have been brilliantly provided for over the course of the season. I'm absolutely certain that the natural urges to hunt for fish and migrate will kick in very soon. Lynette: A very happy Anniversary to you and your OH. :-)patriciat: Hope you and your OH have a great Anniversay in early October. :-)Chloe: Love the picture with the captions :-) LOLEmpty nest at the moment but thankfully it's a nice and sunny evening at LG.And now a GEM has arrived.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I heard it arrive, too - and would like to say its Titch - but as usual, I'm not sure! Doing some mournful cheeping, all alone on the edge of the nest....
It is not unusual for the male to leave before the juves, Lynda on Facebook has posted this :
"It can happen that the male adult leaves before the juveniles; in 2008 at Site B, RW, 03(97) left on August 30th and little 05(08) didn't depart until September 4th. And Hey Presto he came back this year on April 30th and is still around - I know it won't stop any of us worrying, but there are happy endings."
Titch (if it was he) has now flown off after making quite a racket for a while, all on his own. A serene nest is left on the screen. What a lot of action it has seen again, this year. If only nests could talk!
Alan Petrie @ 7.57 - thanks for that information, been hard watching them today, but they have to move on. They've had a good start in life it's now up to them. Good luck little'uns.
