Wasn't around for most of the day but found out I hadn't missed much. Just two hungry osps waiting all day for a meal which never came. Thanks to you all for your posts and pics yesterday.
It looks increasingly likely that EJ has begun her migration as she has not been seen since early on Saturday morning according to official sources.
Time is running out for us all for this year, I wonder how many more days before Odin leaves and then the juves will have to go if they are to survive and learn to fish on their way to fresh pastures new....sighhhhhhhhhh

It's just the only way Tiger. And I have the interest and am just motivated to do it. It' delights me.
I am so sad about these youngsters not yet realising Daddy isn't coming and neither is mother. Hopefully, they will go in the morning if its dry and bright.

Oh, Margo. It is sad to witness this difficult part of their learning process, isn't it?
They look forlorn; and the wet weather doesn't help the situation seeming even more mournful.
No, but now that you mention it Tiger - let's get down to Tesco - It's an evening work shift for me - maybe I'll bring back a whacking great whole salmon. It won't be the same as freshly caught but I'm sure they won't mind.
This is heartbreaking seeing them still there and calling for food. I suppose they are wondering why their parent's aren't coming :-) Sad!
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Cirrrus I feel sad for them too what a shock it must be for them. I love seeing them but want to them move on now hopefully pick up fishing skills soon as they must be starving now.
Got to go now and I leave you all with the two youngsters still shouting for Mum or Dad. Will log in later hopefully and see how things are going with them.

They are looking so lost and lonely.
As sad as it makes us feel to watch them call in vane for food, this is the first time in their lives they have been truly hungry. A credit to EJ and Odin. 3 years ago we watched as the chicks and EJ begged for food.
These chicks are healthy and plump
At some point each will see another Osprey fly in the direction of the fish farm or other fish stocked body of water and follow them. Then they will see where the fish come from. That is the most important skill they need right now to SEE where the fish are.
I wish they would go exploring instead of seeking comfort from each other on the nest
It is interesting how each is coping. Titch is "aggressively" calling for food. Middle is standing there forlornly looking at his/her feet

This brings back memories of last year ... willing poor Mallachie to go, after EJ left her. Mind you, she did pretty well after she left ... I'll never forget Xalbie's photos of her on her migration!!!
