Oh my, everyone must be busy tonight - I know I've been. Only getting green screen right now - ???
Who or what can they see, the screeching is terrible

However in the past she has gone walkabout and then come back later before finally making her departure! So although she has probably gone there is a possibility she will look in again.

I keep expecting her to suddenly appear with a fish.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Tiger: I usually use 48 hours as a general guide to whether birds have left on migration - if they haven't been seen for 2 whole days then they've probably gone. There's a really good post by abunni on the diary page, who's been at LG today.
thanks tiger

One things for certain - the 2010 season is drawing to a close, and EN beckons!
EDIT: EN!
All is quiet again now. No fish for them but they still defend their nest,
EN now
There is an update on the main blog. Odin was seen at 12 p.m., but they suspect EJ is gone. She has not been seen since yesterday morning after she brought a fish for each of the chicks
At 12 p.m. today Odin appeared out of nowhere to chase an intruder, but has not brought any fish today. They say he is no doubt trying to force them to try fishing.
Before I singed off earlier one of the chicks was " laying' on the nest as if he wanted to get back in his pram . He was consoling himself and not really ready to grow up. The sun was glaring at bit and I couldn't see which chick it was . The sight of him laying down on his nest just told how he felt. :(
I had not seen either chick lay on the nest for weeks
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I was thinking the same, at the time, Barbara Jean - they have not laid down in the middle of the nest at all for ages now - perhaps it was comforting after all.
Feels a bit strange to think that perhaps EJ has flown off and left them to fend for themselves, now, but that's Osprey life after all.
Hi everyone. Thanks for all the updates, pics, and videos. Perhaps this is the day that Odin and EJ are starting to wean the youngsters off room service. Good to see the clip of a GEM telling an intruder where to go :-)EN at the moment but #2 and #3 where certainly making a racket and mantling when I logged on a while ago. They certainly do a fine job of defendng the nest.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I feel better when chick makes the decision to leave rather than being forced to. The chick who leaves on it's own is cleary ready .
