Hi folks,
Its still blowing gale up at LG.
There were two deliveries today. Morning one by EJ and teatime one by Odin. Middle and Titch are still around for feeding so it looks more probable that Eldest has started his migration.
Ir was a very windy day at LG yesterday and is still blowing away.
Over to you on the early morning shift and keep those marvellous witty and amusing commentaries coming. We do appreciate them.
I will say cheerio for now and see you all in the morning.

I am sure it is still #3 Tiger.

Ok I agree it is chick #3. The problem is that the view changes with both the wind and the light. Also chick #3 is more similar on the right side view thand I appreciated. It is the thickness of the white ban the head which is different. Chick #2 has the thicker white band on the right side of the head!
Mind you this is a difficult problem as even the Loch Garten pros are avoiding the issue! :)

I copied a photograph at 11.46am and that poor bird doesn't appear to have moved an inch. Rather worried if he has problems removing it from his foot as usual.

I noticed that Caroline, on the latest blog, didn't say which bird was on the nest and which one was in the tree.

Good afternoon all and I know I am not supposed to be here but have only just got up today. Horrendous night spent coughing, coughing and more coughing so very little sleep. Had to go to other bedroom so OH got some sleep. Decided it was not a good idea for me to go to Oklahoma and I simply cannot guarantee that it will not have coughing fits. I have made OH go as I didn't want him to miss it as he has been looking foward to it. If I had gone he would be been worried that I would cough a lot and that would have spoiled it for him. I am absolutely gutted as I hardly coughed at all yesterday.
Back on topic now. Thanks to Cirrus, Diane, Lindybird, DjoanS and Lynette for all the captures. I was really worried for our family last night with that awful wind which is still blowing now. Thanks for the commentary and fish reports. EJ is certainly spoiling the two that are left but I am sure she knows what she is doing. One fish lasting all that time is amazing, it mush have been a whopper and I see that both have had a fish. Goodness knows how EJ is managing to catch them with all the wind. One GEM on the nest when I logged in and still there hanging on to a piece of fish and being buffeted by the wind, alhtough it looks as though the sun is shining at the moment. Dreadful day here rain continually since about 7.30 last night and no signs of it clearing up at the moment.

Yes the wind and light are always a problem. The chicks are so similar aren't they?
Agree about the white band and, to me, #3 has more of an eyebrow than #2.
Hi margobird - so sorry you had a bad night with coughing and are going to miss the show.
That young one has been on the nest with that fish since it was brought in early this morning .... some kind of marathon methinks!

Oops, don't know how that post got sent twice.
Margobird you must be so disappointed. Part of me hopes that you are much better now but another part hopes you are still coughing enough to justify not going! If you see what I mean?
