Hi folk,
It was a mixed day yesterday. Fish delivery I think in the morning but not sure whether there were more during the day. Two juves kept coming and going and Odin visited at least twice during the course of the day - once , eyeing up the fish the youngster had. Did his usual housekeeping and kept everyone amused with his antics.
We know that EJ and Odin were around yesterday, and the two juves are believed to be Titch and Middle but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Over to the night/early morning shift and keep us amused with your lovely commentaries and occasional pics.
I'm off to bed, see everyone in the morning.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Both gone now, will have it on video so will check later.
The talk of the three youngsters not being seen together since Friday may be so , but WE saw her on the nest early on the 17th , so that was only two days ago not five. I took a snap myself and have already re-posted it early on this Daily Update. My image is dated 17 August - it's on page 4.

Cirrus, are you sure it's #1, though?
Hi everyone. Many thanks for all the excellent posts, great video links, and fabulous pictures. I must say the shots from early this morning are nothing short of stunning. WOW! Gorgeous light! :-)GEM just arrived on nest a few moments ago and is certainly making his presence felt.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
''Cirrus, are you sure it's #1, though?'' Absolutely Sandy ,
EDIT EJ brought him a fish

Well done, Cirrus for being so sure. I really admire your knowledge of these birds and their ID.
This has nothing at all to do with ospreys, but, Cirrus, when you were at primary school could you say whether your teacher wore the same shoes as last year to the Christmas concert?
Oh, ha ha DaisyRay - I dunno - but I was science teachers pet ( oh no, that was High School).
EDIT I was also head girl and a right miss 'goody two shoes''
Well the late evening sunshine at LG looks lovely but I'm off out now visiting friends. I'll catch up on last posts before going to bed. Hope you get some more good viewing everyone.
EN at the moment.
Good evening all and I can't believe how much traffic there has been since I logged off. Many thanks to the following for super pics and all for a wonderful commentary.
BrendaH, Lynette, Cirrus, DjoanS, Heron 77 and Sandy. Thanks also to Alan for the clip of EJ delivering a fish. Is it me or have there been more fish today, not been keeping count but it just seems that way. est empy but can hear a GEM nearby and it looks lovely with the evening sun on it casting shadows and giving us all those glorious colours. Got to say again the early morning captures today were just magical, best ones ever I think. Have they all both been fed today or did I read that chick one had been seen again or did I dream it. Was trying to multi-task and rely as I was watching Andy Murray who has just won but it seemed a big struggle. To be fair the temperatures are so high it must be difficult to summon up all that energy.
