Daily Update (LG Nest) Thursday 19th August

  • This is quite comical wonder what they are saying to each other.

Cirrus Nick blogs on Loch of the Lowes own site which can be accessed through their diary page, sorry if I didn't make myself very clear.

  • Still chatting away to each other and I have to go now and prepare dinner for OH, will be in early tonight as he wants to go down to Bournemouth and watch the flying dispay at dusk.  Don't think I will be going, they won't be able to hear the planes if I start coughing apart from which it is a bit windy so will feel rather chilly I think.  See all later.

  • GEM flown off for now possibly and sounded like warning chirrup from nearby.

  • Definitely two ... I think!!... perhaps...  one was sitting below the nest and has just flown off.  One of them sounds, dare I be so rude, a bit like a duck when he first starts up!  Perhaps he is just hoarse after all that chattering.  Empty nest, wind and sunshine - with lengthening shadows these days.

  • There's a jet Margo!!!!!!!!

  • I come back and there is nothing to see or hear, except for the wind.Thank you for the pictures Joan and for the  'clip'  CloeB.

  • Ha ha Sheila  -  the 'duck' would be Middle juve - and yes, I think she's just hoarse. LoL. It was Middle juve on the nest (fluffy 'knickers' and more white on the head).

    Thank very much Margo .

Margo - I have not heard of Nick before -- the poem Is outstanding  - thank you for copying it here.

Me neither, margo, and thankyou. The days when Lady was so poorly will not be forgotten easily.

  • Sheila, I have often thought that myself. I know exactly what you mean by 'sounding like a duck'

  • I love the description Cirrus (fluffy knickers and more white on the head).  Perhaps before they go I might actually know which is what.... no I don't think so.  Only the wind to be heard.  So BrendaH do we call him (or is this the chick a lot of us think is female?) Quackers?  No, that's too rude.  Sorry.
