Hi folk,
It was a mixed day yesterday. Fish delivery I think in the morning but not sure whether there were more during the day. Two juves kept coming and going and Odin visited at least twice during the course of the day - once , eyeing up the fish the youngster had. Did his usual housekeeping and kept everyone amused with his antics.
We know that EJ and Odin were around yesterday, and the two juves are believed to be Titch and Middle but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Over to the night/early morning shift and keep us amused with your lovely commentaries and occasional pics.
I'm off to bed, see everyone in the morning.

Good morning, Everybody.
What fantastic captures have been made so far today - I am gobsmacked by their beauty.
Yes, Autumn is on its way - we were gardening yesterday amongst autumnal flowers etc. The smells are autumnal, and the nights are rapidly drawing in. How many shopping days till Christmas . . . ?!!!!!
Did anyone observe one of the shrieking juvies yesterday afternoon jump on Odin's clump of grass on the right? The clump, as it was positioned then, reminded me of a Sesame Street Muppet head. It was hilarious!
I should have clarified in my previous posting that the youngster didn't jump as a landing on that clump; he pounced on it!
''It's all the lbj's I find so difficult,'' Sheila How I know what you mean LoL
Daisy Ray '''I should have clarified in my previous posting that the youngster didn't jump as a landing on that clump; he pounced on it!'' I SO wish I had seen that.
The wind seems to be strengthening - not so sunny now - and stil an EN
Little birds conversing around though but do not recognise their calls
Good morning Daisy Ray they were wonderful captures of the nest and GEM's early this morning. So, so atmospheric. Some of the best ever taken I think. You are right Autumn is definitely coming, evenings drawing in, dew on the grass in the morning and feeling cooler. We are off on holiday in just over a fortnight to Cornwall and will probably buy our Christmas cards while we are there from the National Trust as they will all be out on show. Quite frightening how quickly time passes. Not sure if the GEM's have gone now can hear something and don't think it is an osprey. Does seem as though the wind is getting up again though.

Lynette D said: Have to go and do other things. There was an osprey calling in the background and Mr/Mrs Chaffinch has just paid a vist to the empty nest. Morning Margobird and Alicat and all you others who have just come on. Lovely morning at LG. I think do think its Middle and Titch and that eldest has gone (his profile is so errect and mature looking, and we haven't seen that) Chaff is at the back of the nest. He almost blends into the background. One is shouting in the background, turned sound down. Really have to go , will catch up later.

Godo morning SheilaFE I can just about ID sparrows, dunnocks and the more common garden birds. During the winter when we had a lot of snow here which is most unusual we had some fieldfares visiting and it was only something I saw on tne news that I reaslised what they were and started putting fruit out for them. Hoping to see Odin later on and not sure if the GEM's are still there as it has gone very quiet.
Cirrus I was in silly mode wasn't I. Don't choke I would not like to be responsible. As you say there could have been an intruder round.
Out till late in pm now - so I wish you all very happy and EVENTFUL viewing (but hope I don't miss too much :) ). Look forward to all your posts and any pics later :)
Still EN and I can't even hear the ' little darlings' .
Margo, I see you are on form today, but don't choke Cirrus. We do like her!
Goo afternoon BrendaH very EN at the moment, have only heard but not seen an osprey. Wind seens to be getting up. Wonder if that will prompt EJ to leave or is she going to stay and make sure her young ones are fed.
I feel a lot better today and got into silly mode very quickly this morning. Apart from the cough which is easing I do feel more like me.
