Hi folk,
It was a mixed day yesterday. Fish delivery I think in the morning but not sure whether there were more during the day. Two juves kept coming and going and Odin visited at least twice during the course of the day - once , eyeing up the fish the youngster had. Did his usual housekeeping and kept everyone amused with his antics.
We know that EJ and Odin were around yesterday, and the two juves are believed to be Titch and Middle but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Over to the night/early morning shift and keep us amused with your lovely commentaries and occasional pics.
I'm off to bed, see everyone in the morning.

Sorry Sheila - I wasn't even thinking it's you querying the ID - I was thinking of Tiger's conundrum about it all - he wasn't very familar with Youngest who is also sort of 'dark' . Anyway, it's interesting to have a try at recognition - I try to hone my observational skills because I'm truly interested in trying to do so for myself. I 'm like this when I go out hiking - I have to 'nail down that bird' LoL.
'morning Margo and Alicat :)
EDIT one sided conversation going on close to the nest at the moment

morning cirrus can her osprey off stage
Good morning Cirrus and ALICAT. GEM still around but not in sight. Just watched a chaffinch I think take something from the nest. Hope it isn't stealing Odin's sticks or moss after all the effort he has made.
Margobird
The conversationalist just leaped of the cam post with such a 'thumk' I startled and almost swallowed a bite sized shredded wheat the wrong way.
Have to go and do other things. There was an osprey calling in the background and Mr/Mrs Chaffinch has just paid a vist to the empty nest. Morning Margobird and Alicat and all you others who have just come on. Lovely morning at LG. I think do think its Middle and Titch and that eldest has gone (his profile is so errect and mature looking, and we haven't seen that)
Chaff is at the back of the nest. He almost blends into the background. One is shouting in the background, turned sound down. Really have to go , will catch up later.
Margo - the mental image of a chaffinch picking up an Odin sized branch has almost caused me to choke on another bite sized shredded wheat LoL or what !! :)
There may be an intruder around - Osp calls ''off'' sound like a warning cry
Helo Lynette :)
Good morning Lynette well done for catching the chaffinch, I saw him arrive and leave must be somehing of itnterest there. I think there are two GEM's around at the moment.
I know what you mean about id Cirrus. I have maintained a list of birds seen from the house/garden on a monthly basis, but I am sure there are a lot of birds I miss simply because I do not recognise them. It's all the lbj's I find so difficult, and really could do with an 'expert' to walk with on many an occasion! Two noisy birds off camera, and a chaffinch I think! What a mess that nest looks today.
Edit: your comment at 11.06 refers!!
