Hi all,
Its been a mixed day, weatherwise and ospreywise. Comings and goings and fish deliveries from early morning to afternoon/evening. Lots of off and on the nest between at least two of the juves yesterday afternoon. I notice not much action in the evening.
Lets see what today brings. Over to the night shift. See you in the morning.

Obviously two very well fed young ospreys standing on the nest ... they don't feel the need to eat!

waiting patiently for a morsel!! although he's now woken up and is doing some exercising and mooching about.
Titch (?) flew away some time ago, and now Middle is getting a bit cross with the remaining piece of fish caught on his talons! And away he flies with it. ENS once more. But squealing and chirruping from off stage.
Edit: no sooner do I say ENS when with a screech one (Titch?) returns seeing off an intruder, and flies off again. Job done.
On the main blog Caroline has said there has been a female intruder around today, which actually had the timerity to land briefly before being seen off by our two valient youngsters.

All quiet, ENS back after lunch
Hi everyone. Thanks for all the updates and pics. Missed all the activity on the nest this morning and very early afternoon, so it's great to find out about all the fish deliveries, screeching, etc. ENS and very quiet at the moment. I wonder if the GEMs have discovered they need to give their voices a rest. LOLPaul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Hello Heron 77 it is quiet at the moment, much noisier this morning although have just heard one off camera.

This GEM has just arrived, making a fair bit of noise. :-)
Fish delivery!
Thanks Heron 77 intruder alert I think and I can another one off camera. Noisy little devil.
Oh my goodness. How much noise can one GEM make? One chick arrived creating such a noise, and EJ arrived with a headless fish. No sooner had the chick taken it when EJ flew off, but since them chick has mantled over the fish and is looking upward for the intruder. No chance for a quick bite!
