HAPPY NEW WEEK, HAPPY NEW MONTH, and HAPPY FULL MOON!
I hope everyone has a safe, healthy, joyful week!
The full Harvest Moon is 2 September. It's late on the night of 1 September for Annette.
For the gardeners on this thread, HERE is a photo of cardinal flowers blooming on the prairie at a state park near my hometown. Cardinal flowers (lobelia cardinalis) are wildflowers native to our prairie. It's a member of the Bluebell family. They depend on hummingbirds for pollination. I just thought they were a happy sight.
The view looking back the way we've come. Castle and town in the distance. Strands of seaweed showing the extent of the latest tide. This is not sand, but tiny pebbles which crunch as you walk on them.
Another sighting of the castle as we walked back. It is not habitable but has a commanding view of the coast from its high point.
A last look back at the great view, before I go to find some icecreams!
Views out the car window on our way back down the coast, before turning north for back to base.
Through tunnels of green as wending our way.
Coming over a rise where we can glimpse the sea and the coast we are heading for, back at base.
Edit- the tiny strip of land on the horizon is the nearby island of Anglesey.
Lovely treat to wake up to more of Lindybird's photos and yes, agree her OH did a great job of polishing those mountains. :-)
A day around the house for me. Must investigate why one of the escallonia along the back is turning brown...
