HAPPY NEW WEEK, HAPPY NEW MONTH, and HAPPY FULL MOON!
I hope everyone has a safe, healthy, joyful week!
The full Harvest Moon is 2 September. It's late on the night of 1 September for Annette.
For the gardeners on this thread, HERE is a photo of cardinal flowers blooming on the prairie at a state park near my hometown. Cardinal flowers (lobelia cardinalis) are wildflowers native to our prairie. It's a member of the Bluebell family. They depend on hummingbirds for pollination. I just thought they were a happy sight.
Clare: Thank you so very much for your concern. I appreciate it!
It is very good to see you. I hope you, Limpy, and Helen are keeping as well as possible. I think of you sometimes when I see a particularly stunning or engaging crow or blue jay (corvid) on my patch. R.T. Hawk has scared many of the crows away! I always try to send you some good energy. Take care of yourselves and stay safe.
We've had a really good day, with lots of sunshine (Sorry, Heather!) Just as well, as its my birthday :-) Had lots of messages this morning, and a lovely phone call with granddaughter Amber, who shares the day with me and is 6 today. She has so many presents, she doesn't know which to play with first! We went for a long morning out, to Criccieth, where we walked the beach and then I queued up for a home made type real cream ice cream each - cherry for me, strawberry for my OH. Only thing which spoilt today is that when I rang Sue, to thank her for her present, she sounded rough on the phone as she has come down with something. A day in bed and naught to eat.
Views on our journey this morning taken from the car. Some have my hand reflected in the window!
Through tiny villages, some with flowers spilling out from the gardens.
