Daily Update (LG Nest) Friday 6th August

Thanks for recent commentary and wonderful pics - the youngsters do seem to have trouble occasionally with fish stuck to their talons.  Perhaps its something else they have to learn to do.

Now Odin has just landed, and so Greedy has mantled over his fish!

GEM has just taken off with the fish remains!

EDIT   -  now I'm not sure at all, as there is a remaining GEM on the nest, who looks a lot like Odin, so perhaps its Eldest!! oh Dear!

Well, the juve seems to have finished with the fish and is now mooching around the nest, moving the cushions etc.

-- and now he's just gone -  Empty Nest again...

I was watching just then, and also was recording it, for another view, so am fairly sure that it was Odin who flew off with the piece of fish. The gem was screeching at him at first, them went quiet and backed off the fish, Odin moved in gently and with a look at the gem as if to say thanks, off he flew!

Sorry I cant post a clip. I have not learned how to do it - no need so far as everone else is so good!

Looks like EJ has returned to finish off remnants of a fish and is calling and tidying up the nest.

Thanks ChrisyB   no wonder I got confused - I just saw an osprey take off with the fish & it was so quick I wasn't sure what had happened!

now EJ is mooching about chirping...

EJ is prowling around the nest and calling gently ...  Odin is chirping in the background.
