Hi all,
Its was a day of action again, stealing of fish from EJ and Odin, Odin trying to get fish off EJ, GEMs trying to get in on the act, its was all happening yesterday.
We learnt that one youngster had fished for himself and indeed two might have learnt for themselves but that is not confirmed.
Will today see more action or will it be a quiet day. Thanks to all who open up the posts in the middle of our night and keep us going so we know what has been happening. Even in the wee small hours when most of us here are in our beds you let us know whats been happening.
There were some fantastic pictures yesterday - keep it up team - we love them and can't have enough of them.
This is the nest at 12.16am. Over to the night shift.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
This has just been posted on the blog saying they can't switch the camera this year.
"Hi folks, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately a hitch with the other camera means that we are unable to switch over from the nest cam this year. However, if we keep getting fish deliveries like we have seen in the past couple of days (8 yesterday and 6 already today!) then there will be plenty of action on the nest for you all to watch!"
That's the second update "in" the blog so maybe our "suggestions" about a lack of info was taken on board.
Joan, SPOOKY!! lol
We posted about the same thing, and with the same thoughts, at about the same time (Que X Files music...)
Ooooooohhh Gary! Definitely spooky!!!

Thanks for the info Gary and what a shame. The good news thought is the constant supply of fish.

Margo, LOtL cameras have been superb and their volunteers seem very experienced when answering questions. I have sent my donation. I hope the sad publicity of Lady's illness brings them the success they deserve.
Still an empty nest at LG.
I agree Brenda H the picture quality is just wonderful and they are so helpful. I have posted on the blog asking if a plaque could be placed at the bottom of Lady's tree. Although it was sad publicity it has helped them to spread the word and I wish them every success for the future.

I think this is because the staff numbers are back up after various of them have taken holiday! They had explained that they were short-staffed.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I have to go now and get ready to go out so goodbye until tomorrow and hopefully there will be some action on the nest. Have a good evening all.
Bye Margo. Enjoy tonight.
Agree also, the camera work and infomation on LOTL site is superb and I find myself watching it much more. E J and Odin are magic to watch as have been there chicks, all individual characters and a pity we will never know what happens to them.
Will soon wish them safe travelling on a wing and a prayer.
