The three juveniles are thriving under Mrs G and Aran's continued care, proving once again what formidable parents they are. Long may the season continue to be be hassle-free as it nears the time for migration
Birdies LG DU update.
I'm afraid I lost my way, Mike
Here are the swans on the 20th:
21 January
Stork & Heron & mystery bird at the box and mystery bird having a poop on a far-off nest:
So I've still got the 22nd ??? to do... No, cos it's the 23rd today. I dunno, I'm sure
IMAGICAT
23 January
Several small flocks of geese and/or swans taking flight before Heather came on duty - I haven't stopped to get a close look at them yet, so if you can ID the various groups...
???
Water level way down today, as demoed by our resident swans:
Fuzzy corvid seen flapping on the fat balls, pheasant foraging under feeder, no-one at the bird-box-in-the-trees...
That's up to 15:00.
Mike B said:Some better views yesterday and confirmed as a Tawny.
Thank you for the inside info, Mike This may not be one of the "better views" but I've just hastily snapped and brightened it from yesterday's video above:
Lovely lovely videos. Very many thanks Scylla and oh yes, 'not ' so small flocks of water birds
Swans methinks
23rd
Great haste, unavoidably detained today (24th).
I think it was there :-/
This turned to nightcam in the next few frames:
24th
It was actively snowing.
I don't remember seeing this scene before, maybe it's been lost in a tremor ;)
Maybe it's indoors:
Heather and I were sure this swan was going to fly under the bridge but it never emerged... it must have crashed into it, unable to attain height, and drowned
Later I saw there were several Chaffies here but I'd already done the singleton:
Preening Wood Pigeons:
This little clip shows that it was snowing:
Robin, and on the feeder there's an indistinct Blue Tit:
Female Pheasant:
G'night from Glaslyn:
