I'm starting this thread in case it's not possible for MARY to do it due to the first-of-the-month freeze-up.
Aila, Louis and their 3 chicks are flourishing, with Louis proving a great provider to the biggest family he's had so far.
I might add some snaps 'n things if I last a bit longer, but let's get the thread on the road first ;)
IMAGICAT
16.41, for the first time today (I think) Aila gets hold of some fish after JJ6 chomped on the last one for about an hour. What does Aila do, of course she feeds JJ8 & JJ7. Ian
17.18, another fish. For the first (but no doubt not the last) time this year, a chick (JJ8 I think) grabs Louis' talon by mistake. Louis holds onto the fish until Aila takes it. She is currently feeding two (presumably 7 & 8) of the chicks. Ian

17.31, off camera alarm call I assume from Louis. JJ7 briefly pancakes, JJ8 thinks being fed is more important & JJ6 nonchalantly continues to perch. Aila gives a brief look and then carries on feeding JJ8. 17.32, Aila finishes the tail. 17.39, Aila flies off alarm calling, JJ7 & 8 pancake but 6 looks unperturbed. Ian
18.49, fish. Aila doesn't give the chicks a chance to get it, she went straight for it. Ian
Someone has a nice Mum shaped pillow! Ian
Posting Doddie's flypast at 21.32 and a photo of four soggy feathered bundles before going off to my cosy dry bed. Night all..
Morning, the fish Patily refers to was delivered at 05.55. I will be offline this morning until early afternoon. Ian
