.A hasty start to the new month, to get something done in BIRDIE's forced absence and before the possible/probable FIRST OF THE MONTH FREEZE (and I've already got freezing probs here!).
When Birdie is back in she may give me her comprehensive version to insert here :)
Parents and chicks are all doing well, with no real upsets so far.

Lovely clip of Aran feeding chick!
Aran's been eating this fish for lord-knows-how-long because the cam wasn't on the left side when he arrived. MrsG was feeding chick from a leftover, everyone ignored Aran. The fish was jumping well after it had lost its head
He's still eating as I type, MrsG looking out on the landscape behind and the chicks all lying down.
Only 2 chicks on the nest overnight.
But I think KC2 may just have arrived, I bet she spent the night on the perch.
Yes, it's her, full of beanz
And off she's gone.
Eek! I don't know why I keep calling her she/her, there's no justification whatsoever.

KC2 has been showing off the flying skills, and spent some time on the perch. Mrs G, earlier, was bothered by corvids.
Now it may be an intruder she is shouting at, and there is speculation it could be the same intruder as yesterday. KC2 returned to the safety of the nest. Mrs G mantled furiously, the chicks lay flat, and the intruder flew over the nest. There are dark spots caught in the cobweb which look a bit like an intruder in the distance, which doesn't help!

A live fish delivery by Aran. Mrs G gets it, but KC2 takes it from her. The flapping is causing consternation! White KC2 tries to hold on, KC3 takes it and KC4 tries out the tail end!
11.27 Aran lands with a live fish, which Mrs G grabs
KC2 grabs it as Mrs G lets go
The fish flaps and in this melee KC3 takes the advantage and grabs it.
Mrs G is supervising and the other two are waiting their turn
11.45 ish Mrs G decided to take over.
Mrs G takes her fill, the chicks have to wait
