.A hasty start to the new month, to get something done in BIRDIE's forced absence and before the possible/probable FIRST OF THE MONTH FREEZE (and I've already got freezing probs here!).
When Birdie is back in she may give me her comprehensive version to insert here :)
Parents and chicks are all doing well, with no real upsets so far.

She waited and waited but when Aran brought in a new flounder she wasn't interested:
So dear Aran waited a while and took his flounder away!
MrsG waited on, I couldn't see any reason for it and nobody visited her... then off she flew:
Aran brought a flounder (could it have been the same one he flew off with before? cos it still has plenty of flap left in it, surely it must be a new one?)... it scared KC2 by shimmying when he tried to pick it up first time - but then he reapproached it and flew off with it:
KC4 popped to the nest and flew off after a minute or so via the perch.
Heehee:
The cows came by:
KC3 popped on 'n off PDQ, and he was the last nest visitor up till now 13:28.
KC3 brought in a short, thick stick - wobbled on it for a little while and flew off, leaving it on the nest:
Now we have 2 juves on the nest, can't ID them at the mo but if all went well for KC2 with the flounder they should be KC3 & 4 :)
EDIT - But it's not, it's KC2 and KC3, so KC2 must have lost her fish :(
The 2 juvies were replaced by these two:
KC3 has been posing, one could be spoilt for choice so I snapped the one I landed on ;)
KC4 taking into flounder her brother keeping her company

KC2 got a replacement flounder in the afternoon:
KC4 nicked it withought difficulty:
KC2 - sorry to catch you at an unflattering moment :-*
KC3 received Aran's next flounder:
KC2 took over eating KC4's when she'd finished with it, some was left on the nest and MrsG came and started eating but then there was an intruder alert - MrsG flew and KC3 flattened:
Heather did her best to follow the sky-chase... if there was one
After another hour KC2 got to take over KC3's flounder.
20:10 MrsG's almost-vulture pose:
MrsG finished some fishskin:
KC2 came and looked forlorn for a few minutes:
Then empty nest for the night.
