Yesterday we went for our walk at a watery place which years ago was reclaimed from a sand quarry. Now it's a home for wildlife. Someone was feeding the geese when we arrived.

My abiding memory of Dame Vera Lynn was at Hickstead - she was a Vice-President and one of her annual jobs was pruning the roses outside the Master's Box. She had been doing that since Hickstead opened … she hasn't been there for a few years, but I will always remember her, secateurs in hand, beautifying the roses.

Bonnie ran hither & thither,  trying to smell everything.

LINDY - I'm the same, all financial transactions are done via desktop PC which is protected. I don't know if it is safer but it makes me feel safer, if that makes sense!
ANNETTE/LINDY and others - I'm a bit of a technophobe as others on here will know. I do my best to work things out, googling if necessary. However, sometimes I have to have recourse to my son or eldest son in law, who are both qualified in that direction. I'm not proud, I learned many years ago when working, that it is OK, even good, to seek advice from others who have more expertise. It can be dangerous to assume or pretend to others that you know everything about everything!
The painter has just left. The new fence looks good. He didn't have enough stuff to do the shed (looks like one shed from outside but has a door at each end, one was mine, one was OH's!) His shed was the potting shed and when I was in there the other day I spotted the biggest spider that I've ever seen. I wonder if AQ gets spiders in Adelaide?

Crikey, I'd be outta there, Heather - big spiders are not my favourite thing! Glad the fence is looking good, you must feel as if that's one thing off the To Do list.

It's a bit green in places. But pretty.
