Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

11.15, Aila had gone off the nest alarm calling, she returns within a couple of minutes. Louis brings in a multi branched stick (see below). Fortunately it doesn't remain on the nest for long. 11.49, Aila goes up to the camera where I think she is at the moment. Ian

Geemeff "Afternoon all, was out today (vet appt)".
I hope the vet found nothing wrong with you Geemeff, as you are a dragon (your post from the weekend refers). Ian
My fire-breathing mechanism's a bit slow these days - they said it was old age. The cheek!

The chicks' plumage looks almost like fur, Korky. Snow leopard maybe.
There must be intruders still around
@ 12.33 Aila arrived on the nest just prior to Louis who had half a fish.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
12.33, Aila comes to the nest warning calling and mantling. Louis comes in with a flat fish. He starts warning calling. Aila commences feeding but Louis is still giving warning chirps. Whatever was bothering them must have gone, Louis leaves at 12.39 in no hurry. Ian
Liz B says:
12.25.33 Aila alarm calls, chicks pancake and she takes off from camera perch. Three ospreys seen in the sky, one with a fish. Also a buzzard gliding about minding its own business.
At 12.35 an osprey is skydancing above the nest, you can just hear it on livestream if you turn volume up high.
12.39 The skydancing osprey has drifted off towards Loch Lochy
The chicks seem to have spent much of the last two days either in the thanatosis (that word especially for Mary) position or sheltering under Aila. It is nice therefore to see them relaxing. Ian
14.59, fish. Ian
Aila has been moving moss around from out of the cup. She has given the biggest chick a nice blanket! Ian
EDIT - the chick has removed it.
16.48, Aila stands on the (I think) biggest chick's wing, maybe just my imagination but he/she almost looked like they were going to have a wee nip at her. Could this be the first sign of petulance? Ian
