8:53 B33 came to the nest and mantled. An intruder flew overhead but any danger passed quickly
Chicks 1 and 2(?) decided to square up to each other
Maya sat back down to brood
Morning ALL - thanks Sandra for all the updates/captures.
Today, Chick #1 is 5 days old, #2 is 3 and #3 is 1 day old. Hopefully the 2 day trend continues and we see #4 hatch tomorrow.
Despite temperatures, it will feel much colder with the cold brisk wind from north.
Thankfully the wind will ease later. Meanwhile Maya protects her bobs/egg

FISH @ 11:01
Maya starts to feed the bobs
all heads up and beaks open :-)
11:13 bobs are turning away - getting full
Hopefully Maya will move round a little and we will get a clear view
11:14 feed over and at last a view of the bobs
11:15 Maya huddles the chicks up and also picks up the fallen fish pieces
OMG - the fish that Maya has already eaten part of and fed to the bobs has just flapped and jumped on the nest !!
I saw it jump on the bottom cam and as the top cam is a little behind I managed to get a video of it!!
Note: it only jumps once at the beginning of the video. I just forgot to switch the record button off as was so surprised seeing this!!
