Sandra, if you look at a whole fish, of any species, and lift up the gill cover, which is at the back of the head, you will see the gill rake.
It is a few rows of red gills on a boney frame.
Totally inedible, well it is to humans. lol

I really don't think I could even touch a whole fish let alone look for that specific part, Richard! lol
