Weekly Chat (Non-Osprey), 12 April 2020

It's a yellow day, today!  Just how it turned out when I went around the garden just now:

Oh, HEATHER, do be careful out in the garden! Do you take the mobile phone out there with you in case you need rescuing?

I'm indoors as OH is treating one panel of the front fence. Man was booked to do whole job inside and out but his wife, a care worker, got sick with Covid 19 and he stayed home with her then started having symptoms himself. This particular panel is behind a large Mahonia, so I suggested that "we" should do that one as he might not be very pleased to be spiked by the bush - OH will put a rope around the mahonia and pull it further from the fence, and also throw a thick blanket over it to try to protect himself. I am not sitting out there - don't really want to "watch paint dry!"

OG - Sounds as though your OH has previous experience with the mahonia! Very sensible precautions.

OG - my brother told me last week that I should always have my mobile with me. Now that you have reminded me, I'll make sure that I do.

know how you feel Heather. I have osteoporosis arthritis in my right knee and always need something to help me up. Turned out to be a lovely afternoon despite a nip in the air.

Heather, Dibnlib, I know what you mean about getting up from the ground. When I am doing any weeding etc in our communal garden, I try to rise with a certain amount of dignity, but usually do not manage it. The garden is in full view from all the residents windows!
