Thanks patily. I don't follow this nest too closely so genuine surprise at 4.
And now Maya surprises 33 bringing in a large stick or rather a log!
Maya pushes it onto 33
33 has no option but to get up
oh the eggs!
and again
Maya moves to the eggs
33 flies off and Maya settles
and a view of it from the wide angle cam!

A great series of pictures KAREN I sam that pole sticking up when I looked in last evening and wondered where it had come from I see it is horizontal now....did it topple and was it carefully placed? Only the ospreys know
A rather damp Maya incubating
Patily - Rutland have posted a short video of Maya bringing in the stick yesterday

It is now Day 20 incubating and a catch up:
No let up in the weather. Same scene as Patily's post above
11:01 - Maya incubating the eggs
11:47 no change, Maya still with her head down protecting the eggs
11:57 33 arrives with a fish
Maya takes it and flies off with it
11:58 33 follows Maya leaving the eggs exposed
11:59 returns a minute later
checks the eggs
then settles down to incubate
I should have taken this earlier, the colours were 'better'.
