Fabulous news Jaydee, a great result, ten fledges.   I cannot resist saying Dally didn’t dally after all, I bet everyone was thinking that ha ha.....

Great blog as always Jaydee.   Very interesting that Nest 7 female visited Born in the Borders, reminds me of when EJ visited Green J’s nest before she returned from migration, and had her fling with Blue XD. 

Lovely photo, Bob--thanks! You may or may not know that the broad and dark necklace and the fact that this bird was larger than the one it chased off indicate this is most likely a female. JD can tell us exactly how many Kielder Ospreys are unringed but at least one of the females nesting there is unringed. JD's latest blog tells of some Kielder Ospreys visiting other nests in recent days so they are out and about. Also, did you notice which leg had the blue ring on the other bird? On the left leg indicates it was ringed in Scotland and on the right leg means the bird was ringed in England or Wales.

Bob, It is wonderful that you have so many Osprey visitors to Derwent and thanks for the pics and notes. According to ukospreys website, Blue EE is a 2010 male ringed at Tain, Scotland, and 2017 Border Ospreys male Blue PYO is named Walter; his unringed parents were Samson and Delilah. Samson is still there.
