Thanks, JD, fascinating. She does look like she is determined to go somewhere. I wonder if she will continue to migrate or stop off. How wonderful that we can follow her travels. Was she the female who spent many weeks exploring a group of small lakes/ponds in the southeast of England (Sussex or Kent?) on one of her previous southerly migrations?

ANN Last year was Aln's first return to the UK and she did indeed explore in the S and then crossed to France and spent the bulk of the summer there Am not sure if I'm remembering that it was Brittany...or was it Normandy?

Yes, she spent several weeks in Sussex before heading off to Normandy for a while. Her behaviour in the Highlands was reminiscent of Sussex, although on a grander scale with grander landscapes!

I am not surprised to read that 7L/Aln continued her journey S to France I expect she will remain there again...........or not
