Kielder Ospreys 2020

Jaydee - How wonderful that UV has taken over nest 5A, and will be first Kielder born Osprey to do so.  

The fact that both the resident Male and Female have not returned maybe they have decided to go elsewhere, you never know.

That is so wonderful about UV having a nest and female after trying for so long and I wish them every success, but it is very sad if both CN2 and FF1are lost..........especially as they were successful breeders. Lets hope that when lockdown is lifted they are found to be breeding at a different site

I have been thinking about CN2 and FF1 I have only been following the osprey story since 2011 but I don't remember hearing of both birds from a breeding nest not returning. Have their been other incidents?

I can't think of any at public sites in the UK, Patily, usually one returns. It is possible that happened at Nest 5A, and a single bird was ousted by a young couple, but there are no signs of either CN2 or FF1 in the Forest. It would be wonderful if one or both turn up somewhere.
