Goodness, Jaydee, a lot going on at Kielder. Fantastic to see a new nest in use, really good news, thank you! :)

What can I say but WOW! Yet another nest Thanks JAYDEE

Its getting rather complicated around Kielder Jaydee! but all in all good news.

It is fantastic, Mary. A large body of water, remote fells and well sited platforms, trees too, lol, narrowest part of UK for migrators heading to Scotland. Lots of big ticks there.

All the same, 3 of 7 breeding males are from further south ie Wales. We need an English one to join the Welsh and Scottish ones

Thanks, JD, It does look like it is partly a matter of location, location, location, as well as lots of well-spaced nest platforms up at Keilder, and once the first pair had arrived, then the evidence of successful nests always attracts other Ospreys--the message is: FISH ARE AVAILABLE! (Sorry about the caps, but active nests are a big advertisement to other Ospreys!)

FANTASTIC news Jaydee! I am so pleased for UV & his mate & off course Kielder, that would be special, but sorry that 2 birds are missing.
