    Wow, Karen. Generally a really successful fishing trip!! Please thank him for passing on the info. I have never been there, despite USUALLY going to Scotland every year, but perhaps I should take a few days out and do a somewhat circuitous route!

    It was a good day's fishing for him and the ospreys for he saw a few dives. He did mention that some were just skimming the water, not actually fishing and most likely were youngsters.

    Sheila - that area is definitely worth a visit for as well as ospreys the scenery is gorgeous. Ospreys usually always seen but this year he thought there were a lot more at both Carron Valley and Lake of Menteith. You can always message/PM me if you are coming up :-)

    24 & 25 August, one of this year's Loch Arkaig chicks JJ6 (Doddie) has been seen at Noah's Lake, Ham Wall in Somerset fishing and eating. See pages 46 & 47 of the Loch Arkaig thread (link below) for pictures and video. Ian
