What a nice series of visitors late in the afternoon - Hairy Woodpecker makes an oops landing, Red-breasted Nuthatch shares the feeder, Western Meadowlark, Ruffed Grouse!
Ohio
I've seen an opossum do this before:
Foxy came back later - I wonder what he's finding there? Unlikely to be moles or gophers, he'd be pouncing, wouldn't he? Maybe he's so desperate he's eating the bird seed, or is he rooting for shoots?
Highly brighened!
Maine - Brownville's Deer Pantry
The only birds at "Ryan's Bird Buffet" all morning:
So far the top-up hasn't attracted anyone:
The feeder trough:
The doe retired when the buck approached - see how he touched noses briefly with the little one:
I've had terrible internet dropouts for the past 12 hours at least
Rebooted everything, hope it's settled down now, but this has been going on for up to a week.
Overnight snow thwarted the few early-morning birds, including the Western Meadowlark:
I have yet to discover if the Meadowlark returned after the feeder had been sorted.
So sorry to hear about your drop out problems Scylla - so frustrating

I expect you (and everyone) can understand that the most frustrating thing is not being able to discover the source of the problem
It's only been happening since I had a new Openreach modem to put me on 'superfast' or whatever it's called.
A few snaps from the Czech Republic. Including the wonderful man who provides! The deer are very tame. Happy Christmas everyone.
