Unknown said: As for American Goldfinches, while I love Audubon paintings, they do not show the male Am Goldfinch at its best.
Well I did say I was getting lazy, GARDENBIRDER And what you say is quite right!

Hoover Alabama
The Peace ornament had been put out again but a little spat knocked it over again:
Boreal Ontario
Lotsa snow overnight:
Blue Jays plucked out peanuts from under the snow:
Cleared and refilled but the snow kept coming:
It was deeper than the Nuthatch realised:
And the Chickadee gota shock too - "I'm outta here"...
But recovered its composure and found a snack:
More clearing:
Disconsolate Redpoll:
Total clearout made for nonplussed Nuthatch:
Night visitors were left with mainly unshelled peanuts - makes sense
IMAGICAT
Sapsucker Woods
Found a Northern Flicker (woodpecker family, in case anyone is not familiar) and the Northern Cardinals didn't look too pleased - it was very dark so may look artificial due to brightening:
That compensates for the continued absence of the Pileated Woodpecker ;)
Hope someone comes in early to clear this lot - and it's still evening at this stage:
A little sample of happy Opossums noisily munching:
It's been snowing all night, here it's 04:23:
Saying au revoir to Hoover for a while:
Because...
Gettysburg PA
Familiar birds, but what a microphone! Tho the traffic noise (I presume that's what it is) can be very loud. This is a rough collection from the first 50 minutes:
And here's a collection of in/out birds they published last May - a lot of them will be passing thru:
From Twitter - "Osprey with ribbon fish"
The snow got deeper and when the birds started arriving just after daycam they were thoroughly discombobulated - but the custodian came to the rescue. I think a Tufted Titmouse was first in, just to fetch and fly:
Then a sad (or not?) sight:
Back again in the afternoon, still encumbered:
No birds seen from 16:45 up to the end of my clip @ 22:30.
