Hi everybody. Not been on till late evening as was tied up with other things all day. Have not seen much action but I believe fish deliveries were early morning and mid-evening yesterday. Looking through the posts it looks like there were 5/6 fish delivered by both Odin and EJ. Arguments over who has what fish etc.
Can't believe another month is almost over , making it now even more closer to when the family will migrate to Africa. Let's savour all the precious moments we can of life on the nest etc.
I will not be about much today as I have final day of Kids Summer Club and concert in the evening which the kids put on - rather a full day with all the clearing up to do etc. Will look in at the end of the day.
Over to the night shift, good viewing, and thanks for all your posts that keep us over here going when we come on in the mornings.

Alicat : These are the directions to the visitor centre at Whinlatter where the big screens are:
"
Whinlatter Visitor Centre is in Whinlatter Forest Park. Keswick is the nearest town or village.
Road:- From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts.
Bus:- Bus from Keswick.
Train:- Nearest station is Penrith (25 miles east) on the west coast mainline.
OS Grid Reference: NY209245For details of public transport visit http://www.transportdirect.info
The viewpoint is on the other side of the lake but the walk is very steep. However there is a lovely little tearoom next the car park:
The Dodd viewpoint offers magnificent views over Bassenthwaite Lake, a favoured fishing area for the Ospreys and there is a clear direct view of the nest from a safe distance. The viewpoint is situated about 3 miles north of Keswick off the A591 - follow signposts to Dodd Wood from the A66 and Cattle Inn. Car parking is available opposite the entrance to Mirehouse. From the car park the viewpoint is a fifteen to twenty minute walk uphill along a gravel path. (Grid Ref NY235281- Find with Multimap)
For people with reduced mobility, access to the old viewpoint by car can be made by prior arrangement, please contact Whinlatter Visitor Centre on 017687 78469. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to escort disabled drivers and occupants to the new viewpoint in their own vehicles, and this is likely to be the case for at least the remainder of this season. The principal reasons for this is that the site is remote and the road is very narrow, therefore turning is extremely difficult and there is a 200ft drop where the new viewing site is located. Lastly the potential for conflict between vehicles andpedestrians is much higher than at the old viewpoint. We will look to see if we can address this in future years, should the nest site become established.
'Bye Cirrus & Hello Everyone Else! See that there have been lots of fish today for the noisy Giant Eating Machines!

I'm just wondering if the GEM on the camera post is eating ... there are 'fish-eating noises' ... and the two that were on the nest were constantly looking up there!
EDIT - Alicat, have a great holiday!
Yes ... one of the GEMs was eating up there ... he's just jumped down with the remains of the fish which another one has claimed!
... and the third one has flown in to join them.
ALICAT Yes, its the same ones... (Alan is absent at the moment so I'll answer for him)
