  Thank you Korky. What an amazing bird. We have seen that WTEs do wander, but this surely is unusual, and to do so, and to survive, with one foot missing I am astounded. I wonder how many times a raptor has been euthanised because of such injuries. Perhaps G463 is just exceptional, perhaps we will never know. I hope he settles with the female, G446.

  Our one-footed friend G463 was still in Poole Harbour this morning, seen from a Birds of Poole Harbour boat trip. What a very special bird!
