Link to August thread
Aila left on 13 August and Mallie on 20 August. Rannoch failed to follow the weekly departure pattern and we're were still enjoying her noisy company on 31 August. But not so many fish for her today and perhaps Louis is encouraging her to leave.
It's been a happy nest, mostly, this season, apart from the failure to hatch of egg 2. Let's hope Aila and Louis come back next year and we see both Mallie and Rannoch again in a couple of years.
EDIT. Louis was last seem on Thursday 5 September and Rannoch on Friday 6 September.
Rannoch's Day:
For (((Louis))) who is not looking hungry :-*
IMAGICAT
You sure captured and 'ramped up' the Rannocks screeching at 10-27am scylla
I was about to report that it had been raining but not pouring overnight, and that no-one had been seen yet this morning...
When Rannoch screeched her way onto the nest ;-D
She doesn't quite look herself in this morning's light:
That's better:
She's quiet now, looking out towards where Louis might be... piped up again, turned around to us.
Birdies LG DU update.
She gave up at this point:

I mentioned that the other day, PATILY, saying (words to the effect) maybe she doesn't compete in volume but she does in other ways :)))
I don't understand your "ENS" comment, Patily - have I made a booboo somewhere?

The penny just dropped. Digressing !!! I* used to do The Listener crossword in the Saturday Times, and one of the many different types they set was called a Playfair... Each clue was a sentence which made grammatical sense, but to make a fully sensible sentence you had to insert a mystery word into it at any point between two letters, re-dividing and re-punctuating the rest of the sentence as necessary.
So I have solved your clue, PATILY, which was obviously set by your tablet ;-D
ENS. I love your video of "Rannoch's Day" SCYLLA.
Only trouble is, DOT space I space L doesn't make a word ;-D
*Invariably in cahoots with my best friend Jeff.
