The season continues almost as it started - devoid of ospreys, but now we are even devoid of an empty nest. Should we feel sorry for ourselves we should think of the VC staff and volunteers, whose cam connection was taken down by lightning.
Here's hoping there will be good news today.

Thanks BNN, I replied to this last night and am 100% I posted it, but it is not here! A lovely update from LG, shame you never got to see any osprey, fingers crossed we will have a pair who will take over the next next year and fingers, toes and everything crossed, we will have a working camera, to see it all unfold!!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I shan't be able to pick up the cam if it comes online, because it will be a new llink :'(
So I've been recording some Ohio critter-feeders instead and got lucky:
I'll get me 'at ;)
G'night!

Yikes, scylla, good thing those rodents all get along or could get to be a pretty stinky place!

It wasn't 100% harmonious, CC.
At the start the skunk is 'discouraging' the woodchuck, it's rather dark at the back: Critter video
Thank you, BIRDIE :)

I changed the link but this is it too - sorry, CC :-*
Scylla, Just had a better look at your critter video. It looked like the Skunk squirted the Groundhog at the very beginning of the video (both were in the upper right of the screen). I wonder if Groundhogs might not have much of a sense of smell! Also seems some Badgers are unafraid of Skunks and some are afraid. The Skunk gave way to a Badger at one point and later a Badger gave way to a Skunk.
Kind regards, Ann
