Daily Update (LG Nest ) Wednesday 28th July

Hi all,   Fairly quiet day. Morning activity then youngsters were on and off the nest at times during the afternoon and evening. Until EJ landed with a whopper of a fish in the late evening. Two juves were on the nest and what a tussle took place.  Gary has a video link for it and I placed a series of pics on yesterdays update along with others who also posted the Battle of the Titans tussle.

Now we have an abandoned part eaten "whale" on the nest and nobody around to eat it.The wind still sounds fierce. Over to the night shift, happy viewing.  See you all in the morning. No, I won't be able to catch up till a lot later in the day.

  • Hello Gary.  OH asked me what the birds were up to just now.  When I switched on the computer and logged in, it seems clear by the empty nest that there is a natural break in the Osprey Highland Games competition.  Odin obviously won today's round of Shifting the Stick [tossing the caber].  We don't know who won the recent round of See Who Can Leave the Partly Eaten Fish Longest on the Nest as no one actually saw who took it this morning!

  • One noisy GEM arrived on the nest ... and left again!

Looking forward to the next round of the Osprey Highland Games Daisy Ray!

Everything that's needed from the kitchen seems to have ended up in the bedroom ... but the conservatory is very handy for sitting in ... and eating in!

  • Good after all and DjoanS thanks for catching a pic.  I keep hearing but not seeing them.  One just landed on the camera post, had a bit of a shout and then flew off again.  Our family are very elusive today.  i did see Odin earlier and I see you caught him as well.  Truly ENS today.  We get a day when we see a lot of them and then a day whey don't want to be seen at all.  Training us up for when we won't see them at all.

  • One yongster on the nest calling think it might be Titch.  As I finished it flew off again.

  • The kitchen works trained us well for all the other big works.  Don't worry, Cirrus!  We are both well and fit.  Much of the grand works are being done by us; but we have had several sets of builders/workmen etc helping us.  As this is such a public site I'd rather not go into too much personal detail.  Pity in some respects, as most of you on this site are my new friends.

  • Good afternoon Daisy Ray loved your posts about Shifting the Stick and See Who Can Leave the Partly Eated Fish Longes on the Nest.

Daisy Ray, trying to think of a HG games that could involve an empty nest but coming up blank!

Joan, how is the kitchen coming along?

M Lake, glad you like the clips. Alan does a great job and he did that link to those excellent photo's. My clips are a little hit and miss. Glad to get the action when I can.

Sorry, off topic comments there! lol

Gary, this is the interval.  All the competitors are off with their coaches, getting good advice and tips on beating the adversary etc.  We are doing the commentary and looking at clips of what happened up to this point and seeing how clever each competitor has been.  HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • In flies Odin with a chirp .... and ....a stick!!!! ... and he's off again :-))
