Hi all, Fairly quiet day. Morning activity then youngsters were on and off the nest at times during the afternoon and evening. Until EJ landed with a whopper of a fish in the late evening. Two juves were on the nest and what a tussle took place. Gary has a video link for it and I placed a series of pics on yesterdays update along with others who also posted the Battle of the Titans tussle.
Now we have an abandoned part eaten "whale" on the nest and nobody around to eat it.The wind still sounds fierce. Over to the night shift, happy viewing. See you all in the morning. No, I won't be able to catch up till a lot later in the day.

EJ has just flown away.
EJ just flew off, and was replaced almost immediately by a noisy GEM!
--now he's flown off too!
Morning all and thanks for the overnight and early morning reports and pics. Looks like there have been plenty of fish this morning so all will be well fed. However that probably means a lot of ENS during the day.
Seconds later a vociferous youngster flew in - and out - when he/she could find nothing resembling food!!
Morning Alan.
Wonder what entertainment they will provide for us today? Are they staging their version of the Highland Games? Yesterday it was Fish Tug of War. A few days ago it was Toss the Branch off the Nest. Hahahaha!
Just having a quick look to see what's happening nestwise ... nothing!
Daisy Ray - love your Osprey Highland Games :-))

Ej just flew onto the nest shrieking and mantling ... and chirruping like Odin does!!! At least I think its EJ!
EDIT - I can hear at least one other osprey chirruping in the background

Bit of an intruder alert now. EJ on nest and Odin shrieking off camera. This is the HG's Battle for Strongest Bird, possibly, DjoanS?
Hi Daisy Ray - quite possibly ... last year there was a very persistent intruder at the end of the season - White TF I think it was called

Hi, DjoanS, did you see Garry Ridsdale's pictures which Alan posted for us yesterday? Penultimate pic was an intruder over the LG nest earlier this month. Fabulous pictures.
