I've just written to Carnyx. The cam went down @ 08:37.

There's just a 9-second clip on the Carnyx site.

We've had a new Live Now link... but it isn't :'(

Another new live link - plays for all of 7 seconds. Tested on Carnyx as well as here.

Hi,

BigBlu have informed us that we require a new Tria on the satellite dish. This is the "doodad" at the centre of the dish, the focus point that picks up the signal. So, it is supposed to be in the post from Bicester to Scotland tomorrow and being Highlands and Islands will take two days. We are hoping that a staff member at Loch Garten will be able to fit it quite easily (Fergus perhaps with his trusty screwdriver), and then.........

Thank you for the update Peter. It seems your persistence has paid off and let us hope that Fergus can indeed fit the new component and restore us to LS and MC to some semblance of sanity! Bless her!

Lol!  I only popped in now thinking it was about time I reassured everyone that I'm still closely monitoring the not-live stream links.

I'm glad you've got a diagnosis, Peter, at least, and I hope the doodad arrives post-haste.

Presumably this means I can relax?  Plus save some PC resources by switching off the recorder?

 LOL. Relax and MC?? Somehow I don't see those two as going together!
