Laddie delivers a small, headless, fish and one of the chicks takes it and starts to eat. Both youngsters have been flapping strongly.

Both staning very close to the front edge preening

Chicks will now be 54/53 days old. Shouldn't be too long before we see a fledge here.

Chicks have been wing flapping and hopping across the nest but I haven't witnessed any helicoptering as yet

Thanks Sandra, I was wondering about helicoptering for I could not recall seeing any reports or captures. Perhaps today we see'll some :-)

Discussing same point in the hide yesterday. Chicks appear to be jumping across the nest as opposed to the term helicoptering. Although 53 days yesterday when watching didn’t look likely to fledge and expected a few days maybe 56. Probably fledge after saying this.
