The season so far: LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4, 7 and 10 April hatching 11, 12 and 16 May. Sadly on 26 May tragedy struck and the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26 June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M) and #2 Blue PT5 (M).

Thanks Starling, good to see Lassie deliver another fish to the nest! PT5 was the lucky boy
There was an earlier delivery, around 5:20 - PT5 claimed the whopper of a headless fish!
Lassie flew onto the nest (back)
Then PT4 (left)
After a while, PT4 stole the fish
The next delivery was the one Lassie brought in as reported by Starling
8:10 Lassie delivered a very small partial fish. She fed PT4 as well as allowing him to finish it off
Our family have eaten well already this morning

9:59 Laddie onto an empty nest with a fish, PT5 joined him
10:00 Laddie flew off, fish in talons
12:45 No more fish deliveries seen so far.

13:10 Live fish from Laddie. PT4 dealt with it after almost having Laddie's foot off in the process of claiming it!
Laddie flew off leaving the fish to flap on the nest
Another two fish from Laddie
14:05 PT5 and Lassie were waiting (rather noisily) on the nest
She guarded fish after claiming it
She fed some to PT5
15:02 PT5 was alone on the nest when the next fish arrived. PT4 joined his sibling after Laddie left
15:20 PT4 was eating
15:53 PT4 still eating
15:55 PT5 dozing
15:57 PT5 woke up in time to see PT4 discard the fish
He finished it off
16:07 ENS
16:30 Laddie onto the nest with another fish, waited for someone to claim it
Lassie appeared
Fed herself after the non-appearance of PT4 and PT5

PT5 to the nest
Lassie took off with the fish to deal with the intrusion. She returned a minute or so later to hand over the fish to a waiting PT5
She left the nest
PT5 is a beautiful osprey! (As they all are!)
