The season so far: LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4, 7 and 10 April hatching 11, 12 and 16 May. Sadly on 26 May tragedy struck and the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26 June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M) and #2 Blue PT5 (M).

15:40 Laddie to the nest with a fish. PT5 made it to the nest first but PT4 claimed it
PT5 (lower left of pic in flight) to the nest as Laddie landed on the right side of the dead tree with the fish opposite PT4 (worth scrolling back to see the camera work)

16:30 PT5 alone on the nest eating
16:53 PT4 came back to the nest. PT5 wasn't going to give the remainder of the fish up easily
Finally, at 17:06 PT5 finished and PT4 grabbed what was left of the fish
17:09 PT5 left the nest flying off to the right
17:13 Once he'd finished eating, PT4 flew away to the left
A couple of pictures showing PT4 and PT5 away from the nest, posted on LotL VC and Wildlife Reserve fb

18:32 PT5 made a more controlled approach to the nest and landed perfectly!
